How to Cook It

One of my favourite things about gardening is when we get to the eating. The flavours of a tomato picked on a warm summers day, fresh peas sliced in to a salad, and spinach grown by an obsessed fanatic are indescribable.

I am always experimenting, trying to find the best way to prepare and serve the food so that the flavours are highlighted, enhanced, or transformed. And I am pretty well known for never writing down these experiments.

So that’s what this section is. It’s my commitment, to you and myself, to start finally writing things down. The recipes will probably be janky, written down after one (or two) too many glasses of wine. Use them as guide posts, not a map; they will point you in the direction of something magical, but the discovery of the treasure will be entirely up to you. Feel free to email me questions.
